From Intuition to Solution

For the Record,

I’ve never boxed myself into one specialty—because the world is too big, and the tools are just too fun. I don’t try to know everything—I can’t—but if something grabs my attention, I’ll chase it for years. And I pick things up really fast! I’ve laid out books in InDesign, illustrated and diagrammed in Illustrator, added motion in After Effects, and edited videos in Premiere Pro. My web design journey started in XD, but since 2024, Figma’s been my go-to. One thing hasn’t changed: I don’t sketch or take notes on a tablet. I feel freer on paper. My tablet is mainly for reading—Procreate only comes out when I’m drawing portraits for friends. When I first got into design, I was obsessed with typography and dreamed of becoming a Photoshop wizard. But as AI tools emerged, my curiosity shifted—platforms like Midjourney and Sora pulled me in. AI stitches patterns together. No philosophical originality. I’m human. I create with intent. I design stories that mean something. In early 2025, due to broad restructuring across federal agencies, my company faced major operational shifts and had to scale down—my role was among those affected. It was a tough moment, but it gave me space to reflect, upskill, and explore new directions. I focused on deepening my UI/UX skills—taking courses, sharpening my Figma chops, and prototyping ideas I cared about. While the company regrouped, I also kept moving forward. What you're seeing now is part of that momentum.
